CITY OF NEWBURGH REVITALIZATION

The City of Newburgh is on the verge of a long awaited turnaround. This will be driven by three major commercial developments that are in progress. The Lleyland Alliance urbanist waterfront renewal project, the Orange County Community College Campus development and the takeover of the Newburgh Stewart International Airport by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and its transformation into the Tri State Area's fourth major air transportation hub.

A new Master Plan for the future development of the City has been adopted. A re-districting of the City and conversion to a representative style of government will likely be on an upcoming referendum.

Unique attractions already exist in the City, which is part of the fastest growing county in New York State.
