CITY OF NEWBURGH REVITALIZATION
Newburgh has one of the largest historic districts of any city in the country and sits on a hillside by the Hudson River mid way between Manhattan and Albany. Its storied architectural roots are embodied by its many remaining original structures in a downtown with one of the widest main streets in the country.
The real estate boom of the early 2000s has touched real estate prices even in this long dormant market.
However the housing stock has barely kept up with likely replacement demand on very low levels of new construction within the city. Notably a significant number of old and obsolete structures have been renovated.
Economic incentives for new business formation and new real estate development and renovation abound.
